Stormarn's "lidos" have a good infrastructure, supervised sections and many fun activities. Our lake district is just a stone's throw away from Hamburg or Lübeck. So, go on - take a dip.
Swimming area Lake Großensee
In the south of the Stormarn district, in the middle of the area known as Stormarn Switzerland, lies the small village Großensee, which owes its name to the lake. On the south bank of lake Großensee, you can find what is probably the most beautiful and cleanest natural swimming area in the greater Hamburg region. Here you will find large grass areas perfect for sunbathing, a playground, and a kiosk and restaurant. You do not want to get into the wet water? Well, simply enjoy the sunshine or wear yourself out on the Beach Volleyball field instead.
